RainFocus Launches AI Agents for Event Teams: What Nexus Actually Does
Tuesday, 10 February 2026 · 2 min read
In January 2026, RainFocus launched Nexus, a system of AI agents that it describes as teammates for event marketing, planning, and sales teams. This is one of the first serious attempts in the events industry to move beyond chatbots and content generators into AI that takes actions on its own.
What does Nexus actually do?
RainFocus says Nexus agents can handle repetitive event workflow tasks without waiting to be prompted each time. The specific use cases highlighted include post-event follow-up and content distribution. Rather than a planner manually sending follow-up emails or preparing recap content after an event, a Nexus agent can manage that sequence automatically based on attendee behaviour data.
Brian Gates, SVP of Industry Strategy at RainFocus, said the most promising near-term use case is automating post-event content distribution and filling the gap left when sales teams do not have enough resource to personally follow up everyone who attended.
Why does this matter?
Most AI in events right now is still prompts and outputs. You ask, it answers. Nexus represents the next step: AI that watches your event data, makes decisions based on what it sees, and takes actions without you needing to be in the loop for every step. This is what agentic AI looks like in practice.
RainFocus powers events for Adobe and IBM among others. The fact that this kind of AI agent is now available on an enterprise event platform signals how fast this technology is moving from concept to production.
